Re7 Launches an ETH Yield Strategy

Re7 Launches an ETH Yield strategy: A Market-Neutral ETH Strategy Anchored by the Optimism Foundation

Re7, April 22, 2026 — Re7, a specialist DeFi operator active since 2021, today announces that it is joining forces with the Optimism Foundation to launch the ETH Yield Strategy, a market-neutral, ETH-denominated mandate with tokenised access available via Midas.

The strategy is designed for digital asset treasuries, custodians, and opportunistic yield-focused allocators seeking to put capital to work with the objective of accumulation over time, regardless of price direction. The current landscape represents one of the most compelling ETH yield environments in recent years.

The Opportunity

A large proportion of institutional ETH holdings currently sit undeployed, generating no return. The ETH Yield Strategy pursues ETH accumulation through a market-neutral approach, deploying capital across institutional-grade DeFi protocols via lending, borrowing, looping, and liquid restaking. Capital preservation is the primary objective, with positive, risk-adjusted returns targeted across all market conditions, irrespective of ETH price direction. Returns are denominated and settled in ETH, accruing through capital deployment and protocol mechanics, not directional exposure.

"Institutional allocators have had limited options for putting ETH to work within operational and risk constraints. The ETH Yield Strategy changes that, combining market-neutral yield with the infrastructure and oversight institutional clients require. For digital asset treasuries and custodians, it enables a shift from passive ETH exposure to active yield generation, meeting growing demand from opportunistic, yield-seeking capital."

Evgeny Gokhberg, Founder, Re7

Optimism Foundation Partnership

The Optimism Foundation is positioning the ETH Yield Strategy as one of the primary sources of yield across its ecosystem, enabling institutional and retail users to benefit from native incentive structures. The arrangement gives institutional allocators access to genuine ecosystem growth, distributed through genesis liquidity provision via regulated, institutional-grade infrastructure.

Re7 and the Optimism Foundation are channelling institutional liquidity across the DeFi ecosystem, supporting industry growth and strengthening the infrastructure that underpins it. This reflects Re7's standing as an active operator and builder across blockchain ecosystems, distinguishing the firm from allocators accessing yield passively.

Risk Management

Risk management is central to the construction of the ETH Yield Strategy. The Re7 Risk Engine evaluates every counterparty position, encompassing smart contract risk, economic risk, governance, and liquidity, assigning ratings from AAA to C with dynamically calibrated concentration limits. Allocation decisions are governed by an Investment and Risk Committee, supported by MPC wallet infrastructure, multi-signature authentication, and whitelisted counterparty controls. Real-time monitoring operates with automated alerts and continuous protocol surveillance.

Track Record and Structure

The ETH Yield Strategy is managed by the team whose live DeFi track record spans over four years, applying the same institutional-grade risk framework to a dedicated, ETH-denominated yield mandate. The strategy is built around a core leveraged staking loop backtested against historical data. The two strategies pursue different yield sources and should not be read as comparable series.
